Ghost Hunt for The Bell Witch: Chapter 5

The sun had risen at 6 a.m. and the group of six collect their technological gadgets to record unknown sounds and snap photographs around the cemetery where the Bells were laid to rest. Betsy was laid to rest with her husband, Richard Powell in Mississippi.

They set up a spot to plug in their devices and film what they are about to witness in the graveyard. As Abigail and Rae grab their notebooks, Bart walks within an inch near John Bell Sr’s grave and a loud screeching noise startles them and their hearts began to race.

The silence was different for everyone. The more peaceful it became, the students became more afraid while standing in one spot for quite a while. Out of the blue, Samantha walked over to the wife’s grave and she heard a werewolf sound from the tall, hidden grass.

The clouds began to mesh together and thunder rumbled in the sky. Frightened yet recording with their mics in tow and cell phones, Rae said it was a sound similar to a werewolf and it would be best to leave the cemetery for a short while until the storm clears the way.

Ghost Hunt for The Bell Witch: Chapter 4

The group split into two and drove to various locations in Adams to interview locals about the Bell Witch, her existence and unknown information in regards to the taunted Bell family.

Diana, Joseph and John drove to fancy restaurants and the canoe rental in Adams about the historical significance of the Bell family and how the legend carries out to this day. Meanwhile, Anita, Rae and Arnold visit local motels and speak with guests and employees to find out what they witnessed while staying in Adams for a short amount of time.

They arrive at a hotel called “Presence Among These Halls.” The group of three order a meal of steak, shrimp and pasta. As they are awaiting for their food arrival, they begin interviewing guests about their experiences at the hotel and visit to the Bell Witch cave.

Janet, a guest at the hotel shared “I went inside the cave with my husband and it was a daunting experience. There was a narrow path with a wishing well where visitors dropped change in there and soon we see an empty Indian grave. It was small enough for a child to be buried there but the remains vanished for quite some time. The tourist told us about a rock on the wall that had the shape of a witches face. When I walked back to the empty grave in the cave, my husband came looking for me and couldn’t find me. I hollered and told him that I am standing next to him but he didn’t hear nor see me. It was strange and from that point forward, I did not want to go back. Some strange phenomena blocked out the sound of my voice. An unknown presence, that is.”

Meanwhile at the restaurant “Laid Back,” the other students interviewed an elderly lady named Joan who was born and raised in Adams. She brought up to them that she and her kids went to the cave several years back when they were under different owners. As she was purchasing tickets, her kids vanished without a trace. She panicked and thought they hid behind the house where it once stood. “My kids took off without letting me know. I screamed for minutes until they ran with a petrified expression on their faces. The wind blew the grass so hard and the clouds turned dark we left the grounds immediately. The kids wanted me to drive to the cemetery but I told them no and sped away for good riddance. I will no longer partake in that paranormal phenomena and stay away from that area as much as possible.”

Ghost Hunt for The Bell Witch: Chapter 2

As the men drive to the cave, the women stay at the hotel to interview guests and employees who had the experience visiting the Bell Witch cave in Adams.

Bart, Samuel and John arrive within 10 minutes and approached an older gentleman who now owns the Bell property. The older man asks, “What do y’all want?” Without hesitation, Bart said that they would like to purchase a ticket to visit the Bell Witch Cave. “Sorry, can’t do that now,” said the owner. “Sir, we are here for a college assignment. We will not create any problems and will be out of your hair within the next hour.” “Well, you will have to come back within an hour since we are fully booked at the moment. Y’all should have booked an appointment with us online. For today, however, I will make an exception.” The men waited for an hour until a new group of tourists arrive to which they joined together.

Inside the cave was an empty grave where an Indian child was buried. They made a wish at the well when entering the cave to hope they undergo paranormal activity. They will report what they sensed and heard from the echoing chambers among the Bell property.

Entering the cave was a straight narrow path which lead to its expansion where an unmarked grave was located and an empty black hole above the ceiling with shadows appearing out of the blue. Arnold looked above and snapped a photograph to underline what the shapes and colors in the orbs symbolized.

“I found something unusual in this picture,” Samuel said. Bart and John walked over and asked, “What does it look like?” “That rock straight ahead has the face of a witch and the orb has a young woman bending down and covering her face. We are unsure who it could be. Perhaps, it might be Betsy Bell’s spirit.”

Bart recorded strange sounds with a voice recorder and on there was a woman’s voice shouting “You have been warned! GET OUT OF HERE NOW BEFORE YOU ARE TRAPPED INSIDE FOREVER!” The tour inside the cave was complete and they interviewed other tourists who have experienced any sensation from visiting the cave. The day has been covered and on their way back to the hotel to record their first encounter from an unknown entity on the Bell property.
