Tips for Amateur Photographer Bloggers:

Just because you might consider yourself an “amateur” photographer does not mean that you cannot publish your work online to share with the world. You have every right to publish what you think is appropriate and a magnificent piece of art work.

1. Be original

2. Express your creativity not just through your photos, but through description and depiction. (What do you see?)

3. Create a story

I know this is only a short post, but I just want amateur photographers to know that it is great to brag about your pictures online, even though there will be times someone will criticize you. Constructive criticism is acceptable because you can learn from professional photographers who have a blog, too and it is never too late to ask for a second opinion.

Have fun and keep snapping them photos. Remember the quote: “Pictures are worth¬†a¬†thousand words.”

40th Blog Post In September, 2013:

I can’t believe that this is my fortieth blog post today. It seems like yesterday I signed up for WordPress in late July and now it is already September 7th. Time flies by when blogging for fun. I wonder if I’ll reach my fiftieth post in October or November?

In this post, I will briefly mention that blogging is fun and for journalism majors, I encourage you to sign up for this because this is one of the best opportunities you can use to help you with your writing skills, as well as receiving feedback. Not to mention, this is one activity you can add to your resume when applying for a job.

This is number 40 and I expect to reach #50 within a couple of weeks to one month.
